Things I build on my own time, and where it all started.

Experiments & prototypes

Mobile App

ARND

A map-first app for the city's small shows: buskers, pop-ups, and small-venue sets. Started as a concept, now a working app running on live curated Toronto listings, in beta at arnd.app.

Live app

Internal Tool

Toronto Yuwol

Internal tooling for a bilingual musical company of forty: scheduling and attendance, a Korean-English script reader used daily, and a bill splitter for a company that shares its costs.

Live app

Design Research

Schematic

A design-research project that translates the 18 early maladaptive schemas from schema therapy into a navigable visual archive, with a private, browser-only self-check. Originally a 2016 workshop, rebuilt in 2026.

Live app

Reading Tool

Vesta Press

An exploration of a reading tool that strips the noise from anything you paste in (a link, some text, a screenshot) and typesets it cleanly, in whichever reading style suits the moment.

Live app

Inspiration Vault

Mooze

One place to save everything that moves you: videos, articles, books, films, music, from any platform. A signed-in workspace with AI helping you make sense of what you collect.

Live app

Computer Vision

Personal Color Analysis

A browser-based take on personal color analysis: on-device face and color detection that grades every color against your skin tone and places you in a seasonal palette, no appointment required.

Side Projects & Archive

Side Project

Forkestrate: AI Recipe Book

I partnered with a PM and two engineers to build an AI cooking app from zero to MVP in under three months. It also taught me how to design for AI before it hit my day job.

Volunteer

ArtsGaze: Design Systems Artists Can Run Themselves

I volunteer as design lead for ArtsGaze, a platform helping emerging artists gain visibility. The best design work builds capability, not dependency.

Branding

De Mello: Branding a Coffee Roaster Beyond Its First Impression

A Toronto specialty coffee roaster had outgrown its WordPress template but hadn't built the systems to manage its own brand. I helped close that gap.

Side Project

2024 Wrapped

A year of building quietly: a stealth startup, a jazz album, a hackathon, a magazine, and a lot of things that never made the resume.

Exploration

Blockchain Projects 2021–2022

A year deep in Web3: a Yat emoji portfolio, an Airfoil agency rebrand, and a Sandbox redesign. What survived the hype was a design lesson about abstraction, and a personal one about burnout.

Side Project

Dribbble UI Challenge 2018 / 2020

100 days of UI exploration, twice. The goal wasn't to make great work. It was to stay uncomfortable long enough to get better.

Graphic Design

Graphic Design 2012–2017

Five years of early-career exploration: illustration, collage, poly art, album covers, and a few things I made just because I could.

Illustration

Illustration & Paint 2009–2012

Pencil, watercolour, oil paint, Crayola crayon. Before I was a designer I was a kid who drew constantly. One of these ended up in the Hamilton Spectator.
